Railroad Investigation and Safety Courses

The Valley Center Police Department in conjunction with Kansas Operation Lifesaver, will be hosting two, Railroad Investigation and Safety Courses (RISC) on Thursday, January 12th, 2023. The morning class will be from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and the afternoon class will be from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. This is a free training class on the topic of how to work railroad incidents. This includes collisions with motor vehicles, pedestrians, other trains, derailments and working incidents near or on railroad property. Class size is limited to 20 people per class.
