KLEAP Manager Suellyn Hooper

Suellyn joined the KLETC staff in September 2021. She has had a diverse career working as a Microsoft Instructor, Banking Specialist, Assistant General Manager in Hospitality and served 19 years with the Riley County Police Department (RCPD). Her first five years with RCPD was as an Auxiliary Police Officer, followed by 14 years as the Department’s Accreditation Manager. In that role she earned RCPD numerous awards in the CALEA accreditation process to include Meritorious Service Awards, Excellence in Accreditation Awards and Flagship and Gold Standards awards. She has taught at the National CALEA conference and conducted multiple on-site assessments for all type of law enforcement agencies within and outside of Kansas. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Chief Jeff Hooper Hutchinson Police Department, their two dogs, four children, and six grandchildren.
