Kansas Incident Based Reporting (KIBRS) Training

Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) Incident Based Reporting Unit training is a four-hour class. The objectives are to gain a better understanding of how to classify an offense for state reporting requirements. Attendees will also learn about lesser included offenses, how to clear an incident, and what information is required on a Kansas Standard Offense Report (KSOR) and a Kansas Standard Arrest Report (KSAR). There will be class interaction to complete forms and ask questions regarding correct reporting procedures. We will also touch on required monthly reports submitted to the KBI - IBR Unit. Target Audience: Personnel responsible for completing or reviewing KSOR/KSAR reports (Officers, FTO, Supervisors) or who enter/process data (Records Staff).
