Health and Fitness Plans for First Responders
This course will help 1st Responders grasp basic nutritional information of various diet strategies for weight control, performance and general health. Students will be introduced to physical fitness concepts which will allow them to develop a personal fitness plan. Through diet and exercise first responders will be better able to cope with daily stressors on and off duty. This class goes beyond lecture and allows participants to conduct various movements under the guidance of instructors providing them tools to confidently build a practical workout strategy.
Please dress in comfortable clothing for ease of movement. Also, consider wearing layers as the temperature in the room may be difficult to adjust. Participants are responsible for their travel, meals and lodging. The session begins at 8:00 AM and is estimated to end at 5:00 PM. On-site registration will begin at 7:30 AM.
