Family and friends of the 348th Basic Training Class gathered Friday at the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center to celebrate the graduates as they took the next step in their law enforcement careers. The ceremony marked the conclusion of their rigorous training and the beginning of their service to communities across Kansas.
Police Instructor Senior and Class Coordinator Steve McCorkill introduced the 348th class, followed by keynote speaker Senator Chase Blasi of the Kansas Senate, who shared words of encouragement and pride:
“Be proud. You’ve earned this. You’ve trained for this. You’ve sacrificed for this—and your families have sacrificed for this. So carry that pride, not with arrogance, but with humility, because every day you wear that uniform, you represent something bigger than yourself. Kansas is proud of you. Your families are proud of you. And today, as you take your place among the ranks of law enforcement, know that you have our full support and our deepest respect.”
Class President Officer Bradyn Hilderbrand also addressed the audience, offering heartfelt words to his fellow classmates:
“There’s one last group I want to thank—each of my classmates. It was everyone’s dedication to greatness and the desire to be better that has driven this class to become one of the best in recent history. The people on this stage are not just my classmates or my friends—they’re my family. So, my brothers and sisters, I want to wish each and every one of you good luck in everything you do.”
KLETC is proud to welcome the 348th Basic Training Class into the ranks of Kansas law enforcement—protecting and serving with honor, integrity, and pride.
Under the authority of Vice Provost and Director of Police Training Darin Beck, graduates received certificates attesting the satisfactory completion of a full-time basic course of instruction, and certification as Kansas law enforcement officers from the Kansas Commission on Peace Officers’ Standards and Training, the state’s Law enforcement licensing authority.
