The scientific break down of a statement, either written or verbal; it can guide you in the right direction, save you money, in not just loss of man hours, but also reduce false reports, false statements, and even discern truth from deception. When all you have is a statement, this discipline can be an invaluable tool in finding the truth. Through statement analysis, the author reveals much more than they know. This technique has been utilized worldwide to solve murders, arsons, thefts, insurance fraud, false reports, and many more crimes.
 
Forensic statement analysis has been researched in the fields of psychology, linguistics, and interviews and interrogations; it has been revealed as a surprisingly accurate detection tool for deception. It was found to reveal missing information, hidden time and activities, and could even give the reason why an event took place. 
 
This course will teach the student how to break down a statement (verbal or written) and reveal the chameleon within. It will teach the student an amazingly accurate interviewing technique that will allow the interviewer to extract the maximum amount of information from the interviewee as possible. The student will learn the most effective means to collect an uninfluenced and non-coerced written statement from a suspect, witness and a victim. This class will improve the officers listening skills and when utilized properly will improve their solve rate.
