Field Training Officer

The Pittsburg, Kansas, Police Department will be hosting a Field Training Officer (FTO) certification course from June 3, 2024, through June 6, 2024.

The Instructor for this course is Sergeant Shawn Dodson, MBA, of the Joplin Police Department. 

The course will be held at the Pittsburg Police Department, located at 201 N. Pine Street, Pittsburg.  Class size is limited.  Class dates are Monday, June 3rd, 2024, through Thursday, June 6th, 2024, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, (lunch will be on your own).

The class fee is $329.00 per student.  Please make checks payable to the City of Pittsburg. Cash payments are also acceptable. Payments need to be submitted to the City of Pittsburg by or on the first day of class.
