Fair and Impartial Policing Train the Trainer

Lawrence
Lawrence Police Department

FIP’s Basic Training of Trainers 2-day course “walks” teams of trainers through the content and training methodologies for the patrol officer and first-line supervisor curricula. This course provides opportunities for participants to practice teaching both curricula while FIP instructors provide technical assistance in small group workshops. Trainers will also be introduced to FIP’s Booster curriculum; a course intended to be provided to trainees 18 months-2 years after their initial FIP course. The Booster course reinforces core training concepts via high-quality video scenarios with decision tree modeling. Upon completion of the TOT, participants are able to implement the FIP patrol officer, first-line supervisor and booster curricula within their own agencies.
