Controlled Force Defensive Tactics Train the Trainer Class

The Winfield Police Department will be hosting a 32 hour Controlled Force Train the Trainer Defensive Tactics class from August 7th through August 10th, from 0800 to 1700 hours each day.  The course will be located in the Brown Center at the Cowley County College in Arkansas City, Kansas.  The Defensive Tactics class will be taught by Master Shawn Love, a retired but still part-time police officer with Winfield PD and our current Defensive Tactics Instructor.  Master Love, a sixth degree blackbelt and a veteran instructor with Controlled Force and has assisted in training 1000s of officers and military members nationwide. 

In addition to teaching the Defensive Tactics course, Master Love will also be covering some CORRECTIONS and dealing with Close Quarters Controlling Techniques.  This includes using Controlled FORCE techniques to place them in a restraint chair, as well as escorting and how to extract an inmate safely.
